For parents
Everything parents need to know about Scouts in North Grangetown
What do Scouts do?
Scouts is where young people make new friends, have amazing adventures, and learn new skills. From camping and hiking to coding and community projects — there's something for everyone.
Every week we give almost half a million 4–25 year olds the skills they need for school, college, university, the job interview, the important speech, the tricky challenge and the big dreams: the skills they need for life.
Everyone's welcome here. All genders, races and backgrounds. Regardless of your young person's physical ability — there's a Scout adventure out there waiting for them. And we'll help them find it.
Membership & Subs
Subscriptions help cover hall hire, equipment, activity materials, badges and membership with The Scout Association.
Our termly subs are:
Autumn Term (September – December): £35
Spring Term (January – Easter): £35
Summer Term (Easter – July): £35
Subs are payable at the start of each term. If you would like to discuss support in confidence, please contact us — we never want cost to be a barrier to joining.
Keeping young people safe
The safety of young people is our number one priority. All adult volunteers are vetted through the DBS process and follow the Scouts' safeguarding policy. Scouts also has a dedicated safeguarding team available if you ever have concerns.
